Early Work #7

Toward the end of my High School years, most of my art revolved around the fantasy genre. Books on Frazetta, Brian Froud, Allen Lee, Jeff Jones, Roger Dean (and more that I'm forgetting) had all dug deeply into my brain and my drawing style reflected that. There's still some Buscema showing up (especially in that clam digger guy), but fantasy art was the new love. This series was done with my buddy Jim Garlock, who was to handle the writing end of the project. I can't remember what the story was with these, exactly, but I suspect we were doing out own version of those '70's reference books like "Faeries" or "Gnomes."
