Stuff of the Week: "ScreamSavers"
In the beginning of the 90's, the home computer market had taken root, and one of the off-shoots of this was the ever more elaborate screen saver. Everybody had to have one, whether it was the tropical fish tank or the classic flying toasters, your screen had better be doing something to occupy itself while you were away. One of my favorites was "Stephen Blickenstaff's ScreamSaver Screen Saver." I hadn't heard of him before (some quick research show's me that he did an album cover for "The Cramps"), but he was pushing a lot of buttons from my childhood. When left unattended, these guys would show up to vomit or melt all over my desktop. What more could I ask?
