George & Stan

Last week I had the surreal thrill of receiving phone calls from both Stan Lee and George Carlin! What the heck? Both were complimentary and humble and awfully nice. Amazing.

Spaaaace Ghooorst!

And speaking of my childhood, I recently picked up the awesome "Hanna-Barbera Treasury" by Jerry (cartoonbrew.com) Beck. Can't say enough about his book. It's a visual feast with lots of pockets containing little treasures such as storyboards, coloring books, masks, and more. It's like stumbling upon an old, amazing trunk in somebody's attic. Or a garage sale at Joe Barbera's house. Plus, the books cuts off at just the right era. Get it at Amazon (which features this incorrect cover art for some reason)

Stan the Man, Part 2

The guy who wrote most of my favorite stories of my childhood. Mr. Lee holds the portrait I did of him for ARF Forum by Craig Yoe (arflovers.com). Excelsior!

Alison's "Feat"

Last night my wicked talented daughter painted her shoes to look like feet. A little off putting but mighty cool.

Triops on The Mouse

Apparently, one of the videos I did for They Might Be Giants' "Here Come the 123s" DVD called "Triops Has Three Eyes" has been recently thrown into the rotation on Playhouse Disney. The DVD itself is due to come out on Feb 2nd.
